Walking

Walking is one of the easiest and definitely the cleanest form of transport available. Most people can cover about 2km in under half an hour. However only 41 per cent of journeys under 2km are made by walking or cycling.

Cycling

Cycling is easily the most energy efficient form of transport. It’s also an easy and fun way to add exercise into your daily routine. And once you start – you’ll be feeling fitter and looking better in no time.

To help you find your way around Auckland, you can use the Regional Cycle Maps.

The information in this section is also available in the Regional Cycle Guide.
